Welcome to the site. We originally we're just going to do a directory for uploading and downloading music tracks but thought what the heck why not put a little site together to put a variety of "Solar Gear Theory" related stuff on and see what we can make of it?

Solar Gear Theory is three guys Dave, Steve and Greg from Decatur, Il. We originally formed under the name "Fathom." Since then we've each played out with various other bands until 2008 we got back together to do some writing and recording.

Today's technology makes it easy to do a lot of the recording, mixing and mastering that wasn't available back in the day. So, even though were not as inclined to play out as we have in the past. It's nice to have this outlet to create and share with others.

We plan on making this site a fun project to use as a platform to showcase our recording projects, gear, and whatever else we can come up with that we think may be of interest.We've included the various offsite links in the navigation column so you can follow us there and engage in discussion. We're always happy to hear from you and appreciate any suggestion you may have. We've set up our music store so you can listen free online or download any track to your ipod for $0.99.
